BIG SPRING, Texas – The good news about the Big Spring Cowboy Reunion and Rodeo is making headlines. Members of the volunteer committee made the decision to increase local dollars in the same year they opted to change the dates, moving the annual rodeo up two weeks on the calendar.
The Greenwood Volunteer Fire Department responded to a heater treater explosion at an oilfield site on County Road 1130 on Wednesday, May 27 (above). One week earlier, Greenwood crews also assisted with a tank battery fire on FM 1788 (below) that burned for about six hours after reportedly being sparked by a lightning strike.
