Greenwood ISD’s police department started the new school year with a new officer, two new campuses and added responsibilities.
The district has five police officers, including Police Chief Mitch Russell, with one officer assigned to each of the district’s five campuses. The district hired a new officer this summer to replace an officer who retired.
