Body GREENWOOD – The Rangerettes volleyball team played very well last week but came up short of beating San Angelo Central. It took San Angelo four sets to win, 21-- 25, 25-11, 25-23, 25-23.

Greenwood PBYFL teams have big week

Body - The Greenwood Rangers PBYFL teams went on the road to Andrews this week to play the Andrews 39’ers while the Greenwood Outlaws were next door in Stanton. The Rangers flag got the day off to a good start with a 21-13 win. The MVP of the game for the Rangers was Ryann Wright.

Body Greenwood swept a home dual on Saturday, beating both Wall and Brownfield in six straight sets. The Rangerettes beat the Lady Hawks 28-26, 25-21, 25-16 before crushing the Lady Cubs 25-10, 25-12, 25-8.

Greenwood gets the win over West Plains; competition gets tougher with Andrews

Body CANYON – The Greenwood Rangers survived an onslaught of plays Friday night to beat West Plains High School 28-18 at Happy State Bank Stadium in Canyon. The West Plains Wolves rattled off 92 plays for 224 yards passing and 172 yards rushing.

Greenwood cross county runs at Tall City meet

Body MIDLAND – Greenwood’s junior high and high school cross country teams made the trip to Midland last weekend to compete in the Tall City Invitational at Hogan Park. The varsity girls, junior high girls, and junior high boys ran two miles and the varsity boys ran 5000 meters.

Body GREENWOOD – The Rangerettes volleyball team was in action on Tuesday in a dual meet with Big Spring and Wink at Greenwood High School. Greenwood hammered Big Spring in three straight sets 25-21, 25-13, 25-16.
