Body - The Greenwood softball team opened the season with two wins over Colorado City and Anson. Greenwood opened the season with an 8-6 win over Colorado City last week at Greenwood High School.

Body – The Greenwood boys soccer team earned its first two District 2-4A victories of the season with wins over Sweetwater and Snyder. The Rangers put the balls in the back of the net in the first half.

Greenwood varsity teams suffer two-point heartbreak

Body – The Greenwood Rangerette and Ranger varsity basketball teams suffered heartbreaking district losses to Andrews and Seminole respectively. The Rangerettes battled Andrews last Friday and neither team could find any rhythm as the referees dominated the game calling 42 fouls.

Strong first half propels Lubbock-Cooper to win

Body – Greenwood left the comfort of the Permian Basin last week to take on one of the top Panhandle teams in Lubbock-Cooper. Greenwood as always started the game high paced and with high pressure defense.

Rangerettes open soccer season with victory

Body – It’s a great start to the season for the Greenwood girls soccer team opening with a 3-1 victory over Midland Legacy JV at the Legacy High School turf field on Tuesday. Scoring goal for Greenwood were Emily Jones, McKenzie De La Rosa, and Kyra Pivaral.

Ranger soccer improves with each game

Body – The Greenwood boys soccer team competed at the Burkburnett Tournament last weekend and finished with an 0-2-1 record. Greenwood played Wichita Falls Hirschi to a draw on Friday.
