Greenwood students take second at Cal Ripken Foundation’s national STEM competition

Deca State Qualifiers: Landon Underwood, Mckenzie Delarosa, Hunter Fontenot, Andrew Armentor, Jaden Hernandez Sotero Urias, Jessica Brooks, Joslynn Juarez and Natalie Magallenes.
Six 5th grade students from Greenwood Intermediate School made their mark on the national stage by securing 2nd place in the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation STEM Challenge in Baltimore, Maryland.
The team was selected as one of the top three finalist teams from schools across the country, making them the only representatives from Texas in the final round of the competition that took place on May 21st.
