Fact vs.

As we read and actually study the Bible we see many people sick in their body with all kinds of malfunctions. That happens today, many weighted down with all kinds of sicknesses. We remember the woman with the issue of blood for twelve years. [Mark 5].

She believed if she could just touch the hem of Jesus’ garment she would be healed. She touched it and Jesus said “Your faith has made you whole.” We also see the ten leapers, they believed and were healed. One came back to Jesus and because of that, he was made whole.

There was a man lame from birth was laid at the Temple by the Gate they called beautiful. Now Peter and John went into the temple every day to pray and must have passed right by him each time, but this day was different they must have been drawn to him by the Holy Spirit.

They had faith or maybe the man had faith or both. The results was, he was healed and entered the Temple walking and leaping and praising God. The man had actually been laid there to receive alms. He had no means of income; there was no welfare, no food stamps.

He didn’t know God had a better plan. He had accepted what the doctors had said. The fact was, he was lame. The truth of the matter was, Faith could change the fact.

“Surely He [Jesus] has borne our griefs and carries our sorrows. Yet we esteemed Him smitten by God and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed” [Is. 53:4-5].

This says we are healed pointing forward to the cross for all those who needed healing before Jesus received the stripes on his fleshly back. In God, there are no time boundaries, we are in a slot of time, but God is not. Jesus committed Himself to God who judges righteously; who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sin, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes we were healed”[1 Peter 2:23-24].

Now, here we see we were healed, past tense, pointing back to the cross for all who were born after the crucifixion of Jesus. Jesus is the Word, the Word is truth.

We know Jesus paid the price for everyone’s salvation, but not all will receive the gift of salvation. We know He paid the price for all sin that would ever be committed, but not all will receive that freedom, even some Christians, it is not automatic. Jesus was talking to Christians, He said If you don’t forgive others, I’ll not forgive you.[Mark 11:26].

Well, we have to reach out for healing. It was paid for just as salvation and forgiveness. The fact was that the woman with the issue of blood was really sick, she heard of a man that was in the healing business. In her weakened condition she managed to get to Jesus, she reached out and touched Him and “Faith” changed the fact.

The fact was that the ten leapers were really in bondage to a terminal disease, there was no cure, they came to Jesus and “Faith” changed the fact. The fact was the man at Gate Beautiful was lame from birth, there was no hope. “Faith” changed the fact!

The fact is, today, many are sick and has accepted it as a lifestyle. The truth is, that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever” [Heb. 13:8].

He is still in the healing business. He said “Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also;” [John 14:12].

The thing is we just don’t believe it, we have not been taught that all the word is true. We read the Bible as though it is a story book or a motivational writing. It is really a “Last Will and Testament.” It is an inheritance that Jesus came and earned then left it to us, His Church. of which He is still the head. It will always be a war of “Fact vs. Faith” Or Fact vs. Truth!
