MARTIN COUNTY The time for practice is over, now it’s time for judging and awarding the best soup at the 33rd Annual Great Texas Soup Cook-Off this weekend at the Martin County Community Center from 5:30-7 p.m.
The cook off is one of the Martin County Convent’s yearly fund raisers to help preserve the historic Carmelite Monastery and continue construction on the 1884 Plaza.
To help raise funds, bake something delicious to donate for the baked good auction or come and taste test the delicious soups and vote for your favorite soup. $5.00 will get you a soup tasting cup, spoon, and five voting tickets. Water or tea will be provided.
