MARTIN COUNTY - On the evening of Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a possible theft in progress on an oilfield lease in the 4700 block of State Hwy 349. The reporting party said the suspect(s) were attempting to steal pipe.
A Deputy and two Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to the area. The Deputy located the described suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop of the described suspect vehicle on State Hwy 349 approximately three miles north of State Hwy 176.
This suspect vehicle was an oilfield work truck with a goose neck trailer attached that was loaded with oilfield pipe. The single occupant/driver of the vehicle was identified as Alfredo Maldonado, a hispanic, male, with a date of birth of
