WEST TEXAS - Local law enforcement was extra busy this week placing eight alleged criminals behind bars at the Dan Saunder’s Law Enforcement Center.
The week started with the Glasscock County Sheriff’s Deputies arresting Jose Pera Hermogenes Alvarado, 48 of Odessa, on Aug. 3.
He was charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and his bond was set at $100,000.
On the following day, three more individuals were arrested and charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and their bonds were set at $100,000 each.
Those individuals were: Pedro Mesta, 61 of Big Spring; Misraim Mesta, 35 of Big Spring; and Jesus Antonio Herrera, 22 of Garden City.
Four days later on Aug. 8, Martin County Sheriff’s Deputies brought in Caleb Duran, 33 of Lamesa, on the charge of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. His bond was set at $15,000. Duran has three other charges stemming from a Dawson County arrest, Theft of Firearm, Possession of a Controlled Substance Less Than 200 Grams, and Evading Arrest Detention. Those bonds totaled $42,000.
It has not been reported and it’s unclear at this time if any of the individual’s cases and arrests are related to any other.
OnAug. 4, Stanton Police Officers picked up GregoryAllen White Jr., 36 of Midland, on a Parole Violation Manufacturing Dangerous Drugs.
On Aug. 9, Stanton Police Officers brought in Elizabeth Carrasco, 33 of Stanton, on the charge of Assault Causes Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
Also on Aug. 9, Stanton Police Officers arrested John Carlos Vasquez, 35 of Stanton, and charged him with Possession of a Controlled Substance Less Than 1 gram.
