Fire crews responded to the City of Stanton Landfill Monday morning in response to a fire. The fire broke out in the construction pile at around 10 a.m.

Sinton catcher Blake Mitchell was the player of the year on the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association’s Class 4A baseball team. Mitchell batted .457 with 15 doubles, six homers and 42 runs batted in leading Sinton (37-4) to the state tournament.

Greenwood has implemented an online application process for free and reduced meals. This process should be more beneficial and confidential to each family. Applications are open for the current school year. If you would like to complete a paper copy, each office will have one available.
