Holy Spirit and Power”

We have talked about how we are not lukewarm “In Christ.” You see when we are born again we receive Jesus in our heart, the greatest move we can make, but when we go on into where the heat is, we move on into the Holy Spirit. Like Matthew 3:11 tells us, John said” I indeed baptize you with water into repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worth to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” See Jesus comes first because He is the Baptizer of The Holy Spirit and fire. After the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power”[Acts 1:8 a]. The Holy Spirit brings power and fire plus much more. The fire serves at least two purposes. The Holy Spirit will burn out the trash in our lives, and also sets us on fire for God. All through the word it is written “Be ye filled with the Holy Spirit”. As long as we stay in and filled with the Holy Spirit we will not be lukewarm, complacent, or filled with apathy and lazy.

Now many are afraid of moving on into the Holy Spirit. Just stop and think for a moment, look at the word HOLY. We do not have to be afraid what God calls Holy. Fear comes from the unknown. “Now concerning spiritual gifts brethren I would not have you ignorant”[1Cor.12:1]. The way go get rid of ignorance or the unknown is to study. The Holy Spirit is our teacher, so if we get in- gulfed with the Holy Spirit, we can even understand the bible better.

>We do not have to fear asking Jesus to baptize us in the Holy Spirit. In the gospel of Luke, verses 9-13, you remember where it says, you are to Ask, Knock and Seek? Well, it says “If a son[ a son is already a Christian], If a son ask for bread, would a father give him a stone, or if he ask for a fish will he give him a serpent instead of a fish. If he ask for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion. If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him. “ You see, we ask,--- have you ever ask? Then He will not let you receive any thing evil. He loves you too much.

There is something Paul experienced when he passed through Ephesus and finding some disciples [disciples are already Christians], he ask them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? And they said to him, “We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit”]. [Acts 19:1-3]. Many are living in that place today. Because Pastors either do not understand about the Holy Spirit or, they are afraid to mention Him. Seeker-friendly Churches just don’t want to bring up subjects that are controversial. In these upcoming days we are going to need the Baptizing and the Infilling of the Holy Spirit more than ever. Are you struggling with something in your life that you just can’t seem to overcome? Is there a weakness, habit or addiction that you know God is not pleased with. God has a plan for you to be victorious. He wants to take us to the Cross, help us understand what Jesus did and help us to accept that sacrifice. That we might know the power that is available to us, to make us overcomers. He paid the price for everything we will ever need. Invite Jesus into your heart today. Ask Him to become your baptizer of His precious Holy Spirit, accept all He has available for you. You will never be sorry. Receive His “Holy Spirit And Power” The Bible calls us Believers or Disciples; The word disciple means; One who accepts and assist in spreading the doctrine of another. Wow! Heavy ! As He[Jesus] spoke these words Many believed in Him. Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed “If you abide in my word, you are my disciples” [John 8:30-31]. Abide means to dwell, to live in. In verse sixty six, it said; many went back and walked with Him no more, they were deceived. They were only inoculated. “Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only deceiving yourselves”[ James 1:22]. “Be not deceived “God Loves us so much, talk to Him! “Christianity
