Christianity Or Inoculation

There is so much happening in this old world today, so many voices saying so many different things. Jesus said “Take heed that no one deceives you” [Mark 13:5]. Deception means that a person does not know they are wrong. They think they are right, that is why it is called deception. The only sure truth we have is the Word of God.

That is what we use as our measuring stick. The Word of God is “The Absolute”, in a world, that teaches, there are no absolutes. The Word of God cannot be disproved. Glory !God began to speak to me about some who receive just enough supernatural to feel the presence of God and they stop there with an unusual or different kind of feeling, they stop there to never go any further. He reminded me of when I got my smallpox shot.

The Doctor took a small amount of the smallpox germ and placed it just under my skin, I felt it for a few days, then it grew over, and I was unaware of it ever again. That is except for the little scar. That little experience caused me to be immured to smallpox. “Inoculated”.

The Lord showed me that some people come in contact with the supernatural Of God, come close enough to Christianity to have an experience and yet never invite Jesus into their heart.

They think that feeling was their salvation. Feeling good for a few days, with a tiny memory scar, then they go back to their old way of life, having a small memory, the touch of the presence of the Glory of God.

Some even say the words of inviting Jesus in, yet not from the heart. They are just inoculated, they became immune to Christianity. They don’t want to hear the Word of God, go to church, or have real Christian friends. Still calling themselves Christians, the Bible says ”having the form of godliness, but denying the power”[2 Tim.2:13].

How do I know this? I was one of those people for about 28 years, having only the head knowledge but not knowing Jesus. Now I praise God for His Grace and infinite Mercy! When we are truly born again of the spirit of God, there is a definite change in our lifestyle. We then have a hunger for the Word. We want to please the Father and know Him more. We study to show ourselves approved [2 Tim. 2:15].We forsake not the assembling of ourselves together [Heb. 10:25].

We serve, because our Savior came to serve and taught us to do the same. We give of our time and material goods to get the Gospel out. We realize we, as Christians, have the answer to the world problems. His Name is Jesus.

The Bible calls us Believers or Disciples; The word disciple means; One who accepts and assist in spreading the doctrine of another. Wow! Heavy ! As He[Jesus] spoke these words Many believed in Him. Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed “If you abide in my word, you are my disciples” [John 8:30-31].

Abide means to dwell, to live in. In verse sixty six, it said; many went back and walked with Him no more, they were deceived. They were only inoculated.

“Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only deceiving yourselves”[ James 1:22].

“Be not deceived “God Loves us so much, talk to Him
