- The Greenwood girls basketball team held on for a non-district victory over Snyder on Tuesday night at Greenwood High School.
Snyder managed a very slim 23-21 halftime lead before the Rangerettes turned up the heat in the third quarter outscoring the Lady Tigers 8-4 to take a 2927 lead.
Greenwood was one point better than Snyder over the final eight minutes giving the Rangerettes the hard fought 40-37 victory.
Adison Savage led Greenwood (10-15) with 13 points, Allyson Jackson had 10 and Kodi Hartman added seven.
Greenwood next hosts Fort Stockton for the District 3-4A opener at 6:15 p.m. Friday
