New Jail on Schedule for 2026, Animal Shelter Under Consideration

Body Nearly a year into construction, the new Midland County jail is progressing as planned. Drivers passing the site at County Road 1140 and 110 can see crews working on concrete columns and the support slabs that will form the building’s foundation.

Area athletes wrap up track season at Austin
