Two special events slated for this month at the 1884 Plaza
STANTON - The Martin County Convent has a couple of events coming up and would love for local residents to join in.
June 6 is the next Farmers Market from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at 1884 Plaza. Local author Sarah Baker will be signing her new children's book, Florence and the Convent.
Dax Madison will be performing and The Chatty Mule food truck will be set up. Also, custom designed Farmers Market T-shirts and canvas bags will be for sale.
Next on the calender is a flag retirement ceremony at 1884 Plaza on the Grelton Pavilion, June 14 at 7pm.
This ceremony is a fitting tribute and expression of patriotism, enhancing the public's understanding of the honor and respect due the US flag. Citizens are highly encouraged to bring their children to this solemn ceremony.
Chairs will be provided for all in attendance.
Please take unserviceable flags to the flag container inside Martin County Library or bring them to the convent on the day of the ceremony at 301 E. Carpenter in Stanton.
