- It’s the New Year and that means one thing in West Texas, annual County Livestock Shows.
Midland County will kick things off this year with its 71st Annual Livestock Show from Jan. 11-14.
Heifers and Steer will be the first to show on Jan. 11 with heifers starting at 7 p.m. The steer show will begin immediately following the heifers.
Thursday, Jan. 12 will start with the Poultry Show at 10 a.m. followed by the Rabbit Show and Pee Wee Rabbit Show. Gilt Show is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
Market Swine are set to show 30 minutes followed the Gilt Show.
The last day the exhibitors will show is Friday, Jan. 13. Market Goats will show at 4 p.m. followed by Breeding Goats and then Market Lambs.
Saturday will include Judging of Culinary Arts, Champion Club Luncheon, Pee Wee Goat Show, and the Premium Auction Sales and Awards.
