Body The Greenwood Rangers basketball team is officially in the Class 4A state playoffs after winning Friday’s game against Pecos. The outcome of the game was never in doubt as Greenwood jumped out to a 12-4 lead after the first quarter and stretched the advantage to 34-10 by halftime.

Body – The Greenwood boys soccer team fell to Andrews in a District 2-4A match on Tuesday at Andrews High School. The match was tied at 1-1 at the half as Greenwood’s Adan Frias corralled a deflection and put it in the back of the net.

Body - The Greenwood girls soccer team started District 2-4A play with a pair of impressive performances against Pecos and Lubbock Estacado. Emily Jones scored five goals and Brooke Clifton had five assists to lead the Rangerettes to an 8-0 victory over the Pecos Lady Eagles.

Body - The Greenwood boys soccer team had trouble starting off District 2-4A. The Rangers took an early one goal lead, but the Eagles scored three unanswered goals to rally for a 3-1 victory.

Body – The Greenwood Rangers varsity basketball team split their most recent district games with Seminole and Monahans. The Seminole Indians jumped out to an early lead, and despite a third quarter rally by the Rangers, Seminole held on for a 62-51 victory.
