Rangerette powerlifters have good day at state

Body – The Rangerettes powerlifting season has come to an end at Greenwood High School with the girls finishing up at the state meet. The Texas High School Women’s Powerlifing Association Class 4A DII State Championships took place last weekend at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg.

Body - Greenwood ended the non-district season with a run-rule victory over San Angelo Lake View, last week at Greenwood High School. The two teams were knotted up at five runs apiece through 3 ½ innings before the Rangerettes blew the doors open with 11 runs over the next two innings.
The Greenwood FFA team of Tatum Bales, Cade Watkins, Addison Fontenot and Karlee Robinett were the 1st place team at the Jack County Livestock Judging contest. Individual results were: Tatum Bales - 1st place, Karlee Robinett - 4th place, Addison Fontenot - 17th and Cade Watkins 26th. The contest had a total of 369 individuals and 83 teams. Congratulations to our GHS team on a job well done!

Body – The Greenwood Rangers (4-14-2, 4-10-2) soccer team shutout the Sweetwater Mustangs in the District 2-4A finale on Saturday at J.M. King Memorial Stadium.

Healthy Kids Running Series is back in Midland
