GREENWOOD – The Greenwood Rangerettes scrimmaged the Sweetwater Lady Mustangs on Saturday in Greenwood. Luckily for Sweetwater, it will not be seeing Greenwood again this year. The Rangerettes opened the scrimmage with eight straight service points. To their credit, the Lady Mustangs did get a Greenwood on its heels a couple times and managed to score some points, but the fact of the matter is the Rangerettes dominated the entire match. Greenwood started the regular season on Tuesday against Lubbock Monterey and Western Plains. Then this weekend, the Rangerettes will travel to Monahans for a tournament.
Greenwood will host its first home game on Tuesday, Aug. 16 against Levelland.
The freshman and junior varsity play at 5 p.m. with varsity set for 6 p.m.
