BIG SPRING - The Greenwood Rangers PBYFL teams traveled to Big Spring last weekend to take on the Howard County Hawks. For the Rangers Flag team, Amir Correa was named MVP as he accounted for both of his team’s touchdowns.
The Freshman Rangers lost a hard fought game to the Hawks.
Honors for the game went to MVP Layton Adams, Offense Noah Mora, Defense Kai Garcia, Lineman A.J. Valenzuela, Turnover Aaric Hinojos.
The Junior Varsity Rangers came home with a victory, beating the Hawks 48-6 and claiming the outright division title and the number one seed going into the playoffs.
The MVP of the game for the Rangers was Britten Ramirez. Other honors were Offensive Brady Gonzales, Defense Nate Mora, Lineman Kyler Garcia.
Greenwood will have a bye week this Saturday and will play on Nov. 5 against the winner of the Andrews 39'ers and the Howard County Hawks.
The Rangers varsity team played a very good Hawks team, with the division title and number one seed on the line.
The game was back and forth for all four quarters, with the Hawks claiming a 35-29 victory. It was everything that was expected from these two teams.
The MVP for the Rangers was Brock Hughes. The offensive MVP was Grayson Leatherwood. Turner Edmondson took home the defensive MVP honors. The MVP of the offensive line was Weston Harris.
The varsity Rangers will also have a bye for the first round of the playoffs and will play the Crane Coyotes on Nov. 5.
